Tapatalk problems.
20 November, 2010, 03:32
Using the above on my iphone 4 and it randomly does 2 things on quite a regular basis.
Firstly it will just randomly cut out and drop me back on my homescreen, not a problem start it up again and away i go.
But then a short while after it freezes gives me a black screen resulting in me having to simply push my home button to get to my home screen, however when i try to relaunch it wont go past the first screen so then i restart my phone and all is fine....untill it happens again.
Its only started happening realy since i updated the tapatalk app a month or so ago.
All i want to know realy is this happening to any other tapatalk users be they using an iphone or any other handset?
Dont want the iphone haters coming out to play either.
Cheers

Re: Tapatalk problems.
I had a problem with the recent Tapatalk update, I simply uninstalled the app, then re-downloaded it, and it now works fine on my LG GW620 using Android.

That thought did pop into my mind but there was also the niggling doubt that maybe it was my phone.
I will give the remove and reinstall idea a go thanks.

Tisane,
I get this and to fix I just kill the app and then open up again .
Double tap home
Will bring up multiple task pane
Place and hold a finger on a icon on that app and little minus bubble will pop up . Tap it to kill the app ( saves battery )
Then tap home again to fix
And re try :-)

Re: Tapatalk problems.
Unfortunately that only works if you have a 3GS or higher. If you have an older version of the phone you have to Jailbreak it before you can kill apps. Though saying that, I have had no problem with Tapatalk on mine, so possibly the same software that kills it could be interfering.

Re: Tapatalk problems.
I know its been 2 weeks since the last post in this thread.
However for those that use tapatalk on the iphone, the app store has recently come up with an update for tapatalk that seems to have sorted out the crash issue and dropped in a couple of small new features to boot.

Re: Tapatalk problems.
I now have an issue on the Android version that if I press the menu button whilst on a post, the app force closes. Haven't found a solution to this yet.
