I was trying to search for TM m14s that were for sale. None of the functions seemed to work...

Can we get this changed down to a more 'normal' level? Please?

Re: Search function not working properly?
Yes you may, the server is shared with Zero Ones retail website, that takes priority. The 30 second search is in place to help slow down the forum traffic (resources required) to improve the speed and reliability of their main website.

Re: Search function not working properly?
Ok, but I can offer some advice on that. Image thumbnails on the main site are fed from the high resolution ones - that's the main cause of Z1's bandwidth drain. They need to produce separate images which will reduce the overhead. A30 sec delay on searches here doesn't make any difference, given that all images are hosted by third parties.

Re: Search function not working properly?
It is not bandwidth that is the issue, it is the process of running the searches, a database as large as this forum's requires a large chunk of the servers resources to run, and even more when running a search. Try running a search on your computer whilst watching the task manager and you'll see.
