  • keep getting asked to log on

    hi,
can anyone tell me why i keep getting asked to log on at random stages on this forum.
accessing via my phone is a complete nightmare, and have almost given up trying to.

but it even happens when i try from my pc now.

for example i have been trying to add a post to the swaps area,
im logged in, go to that section and it says at the bottom of the page

    You may post new threads
    You may post replies
    You may post attachments
    You may edit your posts

but when ever i try to reply or post, i dumped back to the log in section, which i then log into, and it says your have sucessful logged in, before sending me back to the log in page.

this is happeing nearly every time i use this site, when i try to post or reply to a thread, the thing is it wont happen for a few hours, i will finish log off then i will come back to look at the site again and it will happen, it has taken me 45 minutes to be allowed to post this, even though im logged in and it says

    You may post new threads
    You may post replies
    You may post attachments
    You may edit your posts

so can anyone tell me what i can do to prevent this.

    Cheers

Re: keep getting asked to log on

As said above, I found on my Iphone that if I select "Remember Me" then I dont need to log in every 10 mins.

I think that the forums log you out automatically after a short while.

Re: keep getting asked to log on

If I may interject, I was rummaging around for a thread like this and I think I've found it (evidently...).

I'm also getting asked to log in, about every ten minutes, I thought it was because I was running multiple tabs and spending time away from the page but I find that even if I've just been reading a thread and not switching tabs I'm being asked to log in - which is infuriating when I write a reply to a topic, hit post, and then have to copy everything in case it gets lost when the page navigates to the log-in page.

For me, the problem with the security tokens was rectified and hasn't resurfaced, but I think I do have cookies allowed if that would affect things?

              Any pointers?

Did you click to select "remember me" as well as in your internet browser "remember this password"?
