This goes out to the users who frequently complain about not getting feedback from reported posts.

I have had an idea which I have postulated to Rampage and he likes, but we'll ask for a consensus before putting in the time to set it up.

Basically, the moderators have a system, in which we post 'Done' (or similar) in the automatically generated reported post threads, to show each other it's been dealt with.

The idea was for Rampage to set up a quick function, to automatically send the user who reported the post a PM, containing a message and a copy of what the moderator wrote. Most of the time it'll simply be 'Done', but it could also be used for more specific feedback if it's needed.

Thoughts?

as the people who report posts leave their id on the report etc,

then a reply sent to them saying action taken and dealt with ,

Spot on idea.
I offen report posts and for the most part do see them acted on but it would be nice to know your input counts.
Also im interested to know if i reported a post for the right reason or if im wrongly reporting a post/being picky.
