Why don't we edit our own threads.

Hi all
Just a quick thought,But what if we decided to edit our own information in our sales threads?Like instead of mods merging then they could edit it themselves.
Just a quick suggestion.

Its to do with scamming, ie, selling something as fully working, then when sale goes through, editing it to show a fault. i guess theres other things but this is one reason why we cant.

As Joe said, it's a preventative measure, which works in everyone's favour in the end.
