Deleting posts

May I ask why posts are deleted so readily yet no action is taken against the people involved? By simply deleting posts all that you are stimulating is a Orwellian society in the sense that you are controlling the flow of information? Just because their is a negative post on a FORUM, an area for discussion doesn't mean any and all traces of it should be wiped from existence like it didn't happen. This is a truly poor way to deal with things...

Re: Deleting posts
No worries mate, I'll put the offending posts back in and then when people start to hurl abuse around I can ban them.
Better option?
Or, perhaps, would you prefer that things are looked into in a calm and measured way behind the scenes which is what happens when something that might cause a problem gets posted and then deleted?
And, yes, I'm closing this thread so things stay pleasant!
