Database error?

Just experienced a database error for 10 minutes or so.
Wondering if anybody else had this?

Yep, just the mods working in the background messing with settings or summit. Happens from time to time.

This is the first time in about 3 months it's happened to me. Even after knowing it's doing us good in the end, it doesn't make it any less irritating.

The only reason is, no user on here is going to be able to contribute to this thread, other than stating the problem that is already apparent.

It's certainly not moderators fiddling about with things - and if settings are being changed, they would not result in the "Database error" message.

It's not a problem with the vBulletin forum software either. As an error also occurs with Z1's main website, I'm going to assume it's a hosting problem.

Here's the error received by attempting to access Z1:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql5.sock' (11) in /homepages/34/d128455734/htdocs/zeroone/everything/includes/functions/database.php on line 19
Unable to connect to database server!

As this is going to limit customers, I'm going to make another assumption - that being that the staff at Z1 are doing everything they can in order to fix the problem, as soon as possible.

All I can do at the moment is apologise for any inconveniences caused.
