  • Bump rule

Has the bump rule changed again as I've noticed a few threads in the classifieds have been bumped after two days. Was there not something in place to stop this happening or has it been removed.

    Re: Bump rule

The latest version of the rules still says 3 days, so perhaps there's a glitch in the software that's allowed them?

I think its since the software has been updated, the 3 day bump stopper thingy majig isn't working.

          Re: Bump rule

The plugin for the 3 day bump rule is set to 72hours on all sales sections. If the forum software is allowing 'bumps' before that time it might be due to incompatibility with other forum software (such as TapaTalk).

Which thread have you noticed the sooner than 3 day bump in?

                  Re: Bump rule

It does appear that TapaTalk isn't compatible with the 'no bump' software.

Although the 3 day rule does still stand, if the bug in the system is exploited I may remove the TapaTalk plugin.

                        Re: Bump rule

Guys, can I ask you to take note of this:

You can't create new threads when you feel like.

If the last post (can often be the 1st) on a thread was made within the 3 days, then you cannot create a new thread until you've waited for the 3 days to pass.

Recently, people have posted new threads because they decided that their price was wrong, or they were changing the deal, etc, but please understand that this is unfair on those who abide by the 3 day bump rule.

Therefore, can I ask as a reminder to remember the 3 day rule when considering posting new threads. You can always PM a Moderator or Forum Assistant (etc) to add information that you may have missed, to your thread.

Thanks kindly, in advance, if that even makes sense?
