Ear Defenders?
15 April, 2012, 13:24
hey guys,
So I have just got myself a Mich 2001 and have noticed that my ears are 100% exposed with it on, not the main issue but is one,
So I tried it on with my skullcandys underneath, yeah a bit strange, but it felt so much better fit.
So I had a look around for something that would look right underneath and found the ear defenders that the military use, and my question is
Does anyone here use them and if so are there any difficulties with them at all?
thanks

Re: Ear Defenders?
If you use a radio there are plenty of headsets that fit underneath just like the issued ear defenders.

Re: Ear Defenders?
Just for a bit of fun get some PELTOR artillery ear defenders.... they fit the mich 01 but then again if a BFG went off next to you, you would be none the wiser :P

Of course, it wouldn't have gone off next to you had you heard the person next to you yell, COVER!!

What I meant to say is you wouldn't be able to hear it as they block out so much sound, we tried a 12G down there epsom tunnels with them and I couldn't hear it go off.... needless to say the others did :D

Re: Ear Defenders?
I ran my OPSCORE FAST helmet with some of the peltor ear defenders today at EAG, after getting quite a few shots to the ears. I must admit it did feel a lot better and the helmet sat much more securely on my head, looked a lot cooler too. However, I did find it a major hinderance not being able to hear what my team mates were saying or hear the enemy hiding in my surroundings. I am going to look into getting myself a proper set of comms, but they're pretty pricey! In the mean time I might try gutting the peltor ear defenders so I can wear them just for looks without the hinderance of noise blockage.

Im more of a lone wolf fighter and don't really use a radio! i do like the idea of gutting the defenders to be able to hear! might prove to be worth while!
thanks
