  • How do you clean your tac vest?

    Hi all,
I've been at a days skirmish today, and the site also holds paint ball events and game days, so to cut a long story short, I've managed to get paintball paint all down the back of my molle tac vest and dump pouch. So how would you clean it off, would you scrub it? Or could it go in the washing machine?
    Cheers
    Caza

This is why paintballers should be eradicated form the uk!
There dirty compared to us :P

But a damp cloth should do the job

That is true, hence why airsoft is a much better sport
Okay, if not, the brushes will come out

I use a large boot cleaning brush to clean my vests and pouches. If there's mud or anything on it I simply use water and it usually gets it all off.

thats what I was thinking, but if it gets stained on, would a bit of water do the job?

Make sure you get it off ASAP - it should be water soluable so use plenty of warm water and a cloth/brush. The longer you leave it, the more likely it is to stain. I used to paintball a lot back in the day, and every evening was spent getting paint off all my kit before I put it away for the next game. Airsoft is soooo much cleaner

Last time I got a tonne of paintball powder all over my RICAS I had to hose the damn thing off. That powder really likes to work its way into the material.

Paintball paint is water based, it will dissolve in wated. Id take the plates and pouches out, give it a good hosing, or if thats not possible put it in the bath and spray with shower head and a gentle scrubbing with a nail brush or something similar

Just rinse it with the shower head that should do it.

I always have a pack of baby wipes laying around, those things clean anything. if it's harder to get off, do what Tiercel says, hose it off and use an old toothbrush, or get one of those washing up brushes, they also work wonders on desert boots.

Mine was caked in paint too. Just hosed it down bit of fairy liquid and a little bit of scrubbing. Done
