Re: best boots?
Would help what load out you use. From a British load out, Combat High boots, Lowa, Mendals or Magnums.
For US, desert Magnums, desert Mendals, anything thats not black.
If your on a budget, check out hiking and camping shops.

Re: best boots?
I use magnums, good for GZ as they dry out quickly after navigating all the swamps...
Comfy too

Re: best boots?
I have black and tan CAT boots. Serve me well and they collect BB's too! the tread is just big enough to capture BB's that are on the floor

Re: best boots?
I see no problem with british standard issue ones. Probably the toughest you will get being all leather, waterproof etc.

Re: best boots?
I got some "Grafters", which have a Thinsulate layer. Water proof, easy to clean as leather and nice and warm in the winter. £50

Re: best boots?
I brought Magnum's Classics padded tounge, padded sides. I have a lot of issues with Footwear, but the Magnum's fit like a glove ,well with out the fingers.
