Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
My loadout is kinda in the light and simple area but I
wouldn't
say it's too light....
Warrior Centurion minus back plate - 2 Medium Pouches on Kidneys, Fake Plate in Center, Admin Pouch, 8 mags in shingles and a couple in the side pouches.
Uncle Mikes Hip Holster
Helikon SFU Trousers
Thermal Long Sleeve
Generic Polo Shirt
Generic Soft Shell
Shemagh
Baseball Cap or Beanie
Relatively simple PMC loadout.

Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
Mine tends to vary during the day... start off all gun ho , full mtp, helmet, shemagh, full plate carrier with as many pouchs as i can fit, with battle belt with as many pouchs as i can fit, sometimes with a rucksack, with additional pouchs fitted, half way through the day, i will have shed the backpack, by last game i will be rocking just a battle belt, and baseball cap...
if i'm rocking my sniper/scout set up,depends on game, will sometimes strap my l119a1 build or sa80 to my rucksack and go out as light as possible but with rucksack ( usually filled with green netting or cam stuff ) or just no rucksack, battle belt for pistol and mags ) and scrim scarf round neck and head.... sneaky sneaky mode..
although i find that doesnt matter if i wear alot or lil, i always end up feeling hooped at the end of a game.... always fast and furious during
'Why did you shoot him 13 times?'
'The browning mag only holds 13 rounds sir.'
awesome quote

Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
At the moment i am running a very simple kit.
-Gore tex field boots
-DDPM trousers
-Brown undershirt
-Web tex soft shell jacket
-WAS belt with double rifle mag pouch, utility pouch and a dump pouch
-And then obviously my primary weapon
I just run 3 hi caps at the moment as its light weight and i barely get through one as we only play short games.

Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
I run a pretty lightweight kit at the moment.
From top to bottom -
-True spec tan cap
-Oakley shooting glasses
-In ear security style headset
-Black shirt
-Rapdom hard knuckle gloves
-Clone BFG lightweight chest rig carrying 5 mids and my radio
-WAS PLB belt with 2 mids, admin/utility pouch and a dump pouch
-Elite tactical MC trousers
-Karrimor hiking boots in the summer, gore tex field boots in the winter.
I may add or take away layers depending on the weather.
It's pretty lightweight and not restricting at all and i can easily run with it all day.

I'm just returning to the Skirmish field after a year away, I used to run MC and a RICAS etc but found my back was aching for a couple of days after.
Just put this together, dont really know what the "look" is but it's a kind of SBS/CIA/Deniable ops type light weight loadout.
Blackhawke LS shirt in OD
Navy blue cargo pants
Regatta waist coat with loads of pockets.
Boots will be Merrel or Scarpa's but my old lowas at the moment.
Black mechanix gloves.
Brown Pakol hat.
Really comfy, really light, I run with 4 Emag mids and don't need more as I run on single shot.
Let me know what you think.

This is how I roll now. All that changes is the pouches on the DCS front.
Dcs plate carrier -
3 m4/ak mags on the front, and 2 on the left side. 2 more pouches on the back for spare mags for team mates, plus radio.
Plb belt with slimline harness -
Pistol and mags on the belt, as well as 2 utility pouches and bfg in a smoke pouch.
Trousers with knee pads.
Decent lowa boots.
Revision sawfly glasses

Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
Summer:
Boonie hat or plastic helmet with cover
Shirt
Trousers
Boots
Simple webbing
Winter:
Boonie hat or plastic helmet with cover
T shirt
Combat Parka
Armoured gloves
Trousers
Boots
Simple webbing
The clothing can be either DPM, Flecktarn, US Tri-Colour Desert or US Woodland, depending on where and when I am playing.
I get the authenticity thing but am not particularly into it; I enjoy airsoft as an event and a hobby, but do not need to feel that I am replicating something.

Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
for a walk on day skirmish then i go light as poss ,500-600 rnds in mids often in pockets but also in a satchel type bandoleer , water bag of bb's in a pocket ,a speed loader and rifle ,the car is full of stuff for just in case.
i do mainly WW2 airsoft and for that it's completely the other way, full kit including trenching tool, steel helmet ,food and drink for the day and full wool battle dress and hob nail boots as well as rifle ,ammo ,speed loader and field tool kit, in short i only go back to the car if my main weapon fails.

Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
Very light wear
Ubacs in Marpat / DDPM or Fleece Patriot Jacket/Sweatshirt
Emerson cargo pants w/ knee pads
Vest, either a weesatch or chest rig. Enough for 6 to 8 mid/lows. 2 pistol mag pouches. Some bits and bobs here and there.
Lately, I have been running only a molle belt. It gets the same ammo and still get the pistol in there.

Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
I used to be fairly light weight and only really wear what I needed to but still keeping it fairly militaryesque.
Now, however, I run far more realistic loadouts which naturally weigh quite a bit more
