  • Blackhawk Gear

Okay, so what's the general verdict on this stuff?
I have some V2 Kneepads and a SERPA. Kneepads are functional, and the SERPA is amazing IMO.
Are there any products of theirs that I should stay away from in particular?
Anything that you can really recommend?
I have an opportunity to get their gear relatively cheaply, and want to make the most of it.
    Thanks in advance chaps

It's pretty decent gear. Used in the real world, so for airsoft I'm sure it's going to be fine Pretty pricey sometimes, but if you're getting it cheap, that's not a problem. Not bought anything recently but their OD tends to be darker than many other makes

Their CRCH, strike vests and similar are quality... blackhawk have some of the best molle stitching Ive used.

however, Id stay away from their universal holsters. Didnt think much of the construction on my old one.

          Re: Blackhawk Gear

Ive had one of their earlier plate carriers, a rifle sling, a few pouches (M4 and and medic pouches), kneepads, and I still own a rigger belt. Its all decent stuff, not like the quality of high end like Paraclete, Eagle or similar. But its alright, its like a better quality Warrior Assault Systems really

plus lifetime guarantee on their stuff!
[QUOTE=archangel;463445]. At the end of the day, we are (generally) a group of young or middle aged white men playing with toys guns in the woods, never forget this.

Only if you fill out the warranty card and send it off :P And thats a bit misleading, theres only a lifetime guarantee on certain types of equipment, quite which I dont recall. Alot come with a 3 year warantee minimum.

                Sorry about the thread revival.
How does this stuff compare to other brands, say, Condor?

                    Re: Blackhawk Gear

Well, bit unfair to condor... for what it is, its ok. Blackhawk, WAS, TAS, Flyye and Pantac are all just miles better

                      Re: Blackhawk Gear

I disagree the Condor Multicam stuff Ive had was quite good actually. Not nessecarily on par with Blackhawk, but still not as bad as everyone makes out. Personally I wouldnt use it... theres alot better things to spend ones money on. And alot better ways of using a peice of Nylon

i have used some condor in the past - i would hardly say they are rubbish they are official multicam and i never had an issue with their quality - nowhere near as bad as say viper

                            Re: Blackhawk Gear

There was a conversation a while back on another forum about Condor. The Multicam stuff is generally of good quality, as its 1000d Cordura. However the stitching and layout can be hit and miss due to to differing quality control. The regular colour line, this problem seems to be more of an issue aswell. However, with Condors launch of new line a year or so back, they were supposed to have tightened up quality control.
