Anyone else using kydex holsters - not the fobus types
29 January, 2013, 18:57
I've recently had a bit of a love affair for kydex and have had a few things made by LFI over in the states. I was wondering how common these types if holsters are and if you use em; stick up some photos!
Here's my ones:
XDM and M&P
XDM compact closed bottom
And mag modules too

Also using one made by rubi-tong for my M&P with TLR-1s. Fantastic bit of kit, i've adjusted it slightly to turn the flashlight off when holstering and to guide the pistol into the holster a bit easier, but its essentially the same. Really good retention and it sits nicely on my belt rig. And for the price I can't ask for more! I'm considering getting him to do me some mag pouches and a torch holder, but I can't decide if I want to get rid of the fast mag pouches yet!

There you go fella, hes a really good guy, was sending me picture updates throughout the build process making sure I was happy. Reasonable prices too, £51.50 for a holster with torch, £41.50 for without a torch. Not sure on mag pouches, but I'm sure they'll be pretty reasonable.
He also has access to a lot of guns, but I sent him my M&P as he didnt have the TLR-1s nor the silencer adapter. That's actually an opened bottomed holster, best of both worlds in my eyes, still covers the whole pistol to protect it, but lets all the crap out!
He also gave me adapters for both molle and a 1.5" belt loop for no extra cost!

I've been beavering away too and knocked this one up for me to use with my Kimber Tactical Entry II and M3:
Not strictly Multicam but is the closest you'll get to it (it's called "Supercam").

Yep :-)

I like that mate, but there is now a multicam Kydex out that blends perfect with multicam clothing. It's expensive but available from the states. That's the problem, to order a small quantity costs a bleeding fortune with postage.
