New plate carrier
12 February, 2013, 08:20
Hi Guys iam after an new a plate carrier to replace my aging one,
I have a budget or around £90
Iam after something strong and hard wearing
Just the base carrier as i have more pouches then i and some friends can shake a rather hefty log at.
Basically hit me with ideas, comments about your own, pros cons.
Also iam 5'6" and a 37" chest so advice for a slightly samll player is good, as with issued kit i look like a daddy's let me run around in his kit!
Thanks in advance guys
Enjoy pancake day!

I am a massive fan of the warrior centurian rigs very comfortable and flexible. You can also get the back plates for them

Pretty much anything by Warrior that you fancy that comes within budget.

I am a skinny lad also! So it should fit you as well has lots of room for adjustment.

Re: New plate carrier
warrior elite ops dcs plate carrier in coyote or multicam if your a slim/small chap is probably the best thing for you, I have the raptor as I'm 6'1 with a 42 inch chest and its spot on, amazingly built, better than a mates paraclete sohpc in multicam i thought personally and will last you your airsoft career bud, there's a few pics kicking about on the forum, have a butchers, really nice bit of kit :-)

Pantac Hpc.
Im 5''6 and it fits me fine, any taller than 5''10 though and it starts to look like a boob tube.
Used it pretty much 100 times in the last 2 years and eveything is still solid as a rock

Re: New plate carrier
Warrior elite ops DCS is great, light wieght superb quality and use by some british soldiers so you know you got a quality carrier, the only downside is there doesnt seem to be much real estate for pouches etc but im not one for filling my molle

Re: New plate carrier
I would look at Flyye, does it need to have pouches in the £90? i never liked warrior tbh, i would stay away from EBB.
VBSS or a fast attack plate are nice, or the LBT 6094 (flyye one) but i think the pushes the budget a little bit.

Re: New plate carrier
That's the problem with Flyye, nice kit, but expensive. I'd rather buy second hand Eagle for the same/less money

Re: New plate carrier
nots not badly priced when put with warrior, and its cheaper than most 2nd hand eagle stuff, VBSS is like £80. And the LBT is like £150 i think, so more than his budget, 2nd hand eagle stuff still goes for around £200-300 mark

echoing what fizzy said, WAS kit is superb, slightly heavier than the knock off stuff but its pretty much bombproof & if you look for s/h w/o pouches, you'll find something easily within your budget.
recommend you look at any of the ricas range, prob the compact be ideal.

Well, I was looking for a RRV. Flyye one was £140 new with back, and Eagle ones were fetching around £90 on eBay. Flyye copy of the EPC, £100, I sold my Eagle one for £60 Similar situation with the CIRAS. The Flyye one was £180 with pouches, and I could have had an Eagle one (albeit without pouches) for £165
