Assault vest FAL/FN mags
11 February, 2010, 22:09
Hello All
I'm looking for any advice or opinion on an assault rig that takes FN/FAL mags. I'm getting a SA58 and around a half dozen mags so at the moment it's pockets or a bin liner! :D
Any advice would be greatful

Re: Assault vest FAL/FN mags
The "Warrior Centurion" I have can fit my M4 and my AK47 mags, so it should fit other 7.62 pretty easy.

Re: Assault vest FAL/FN mags
i have a set of 58 patt webbing. but where i'm 6ft and 15stone...its...a little tight round the middle. so i'm gonna start using it as a belt. the pouches are huge, i was gonna sell my set but since i'm now (almost) the proud owner of a g3, i'm keeping it so i can actuall have somewhere to store the mags.

Well, M4s are 5.56mm and an AK47 is 7.62x39. 7.62x51 NATO is considerably larger, and so are the mags, so may not fit

Re: Assault vest FAL/FN mags
I'd recommend an M83 South African assualt vest as I'm pretty certain they fit FAL mags. Try to get an original one as they arn't too pricey if you shop around and are far superior to the rubbish £20 copies you see around.

Yeah agree with lolzor, you can also get simple chicom-type replica Rhodesian chest rigs for them too.

Where have you seen these fella. Been looking myself I couldn't find any.
Ended up making a bandoleer for 5 mags and use, like others have said, my old 58 webbing set.

Re: Assault vest FAL/FN mags
Hi Guys
Just caught up with the post so many thanks to all for the ideas...
I've still got a set of 58 pattern - (I just remember how sodden it can feel in our "summer" weather). Bu I didn't think of that.
I've around half a dozen mags that I'd want to tote around so I'll look for a SA/Rhodesian vest. I use the British COPP vest when I use my M4/M249.
I'll look around but if anyone has any kind of pointer to where I can start looking then I'd be most grateful - Or its back to search engine gargling!

Re: Assault vest FAL/FN mags
Just looked on Arnies as Spetsnazdave said and found thread and Ebay link to a 5 or 4 pocket Rhodeisian repo chest rig. $75 plus $31 P+P. I'm going to have to sell some other stuff to buy one or it could all end in a divorce lol, 'not more airsoft stuff, how much do you need' my wife keeps squawking.
'You can never have enough' I reply, with the best puppy dog eyes I can muster.

You're a genius SSD!!!:D
I searched using 7.62 rather than FN/FAL and I found some Tiberius MOLLE kit.
Anybody used this before?
Thanks again
