MG36... best sling option.
13 February, 2010, 20:29
Right, haven recently sorted out my MG36 I'm trying to decide on the best sling option for it being that its quite cumbersome/heavy with the Drum mag.
Was thinking that a 3point tac sling would be the best but just wanted some confirmation really due to the bulk and size of the AEG.
Any 3points out there that can be recommended? (Stocked by Z1/ MMUK if possible due to bulk order with misses kit) also would they be best attached to the stock lug or the body lug at the rear?
Any help would be appreciated, also I used search and didn't feel any of the posts regarding slings were not relevant to my question.

Re: MG36... best sling option.
How about a Minimi or GPMG sling? Not sure what your sling mounts are like but a couple of split rings should allow it to be mounted. There is no RS MG36 sling with there being no RS MG36 so it's whatever suits really

Re: MG36... best sling option.
I just use a standard 3 point sling on mine (not sure of make)
comfortable to use but sits weird when you let it hang due to the drum mag
and i attatch my sling to the rear of the body and not the stock.
just incase you didnt know you will need some keyring loops to go throught the sling points as they are just too small especially the rear one, or use the {LAYLAX side sling swivel for G36} £15 from zero one.
hope this helps
