Re: SPAS 12 Accessories
Well they've not been specially designed to fit anywhere,
Each of those long rails is 258mm long.
I don't think it'll take a great deal of know how to cut them down to whatever length required and to drill countersunk holes where they're needed.
As you know the SPAS heat shield has a step in it that starts about 200mm from the front.
So the problems are drilling new countersunk holes in the right places
Finding new, longer countersunk head screws+ and bolts.
They're the easy fixes.
the harder bit for the top rail is finding a spacer to fill that 200mm gap in the heat shield.
i'd also like the top rail to extend, all at one level, right to the rear end.
To do that I'll have to not only find a spacer, but it'll have to accommodate the curve of the receiver top.
That's why I bought the short rails that have a curved base. to make that curved-base spacer.
They don't fit the curve exactly. Not at all in fact. I'll figure something out.
I've the same problem for fitting the rail to the bottom of the sliding hand guard.
Fitting the long rails to the sides of the sliding pump should be easy enough so long as the bolts on the inside don't interfere with the internal mechanisms.
Open to ideas and suggestions guys.

Re: SPAS 12 Accessories
Yep, Ramirez survived the night.
He (I think he's a he) won't eat though. or drink.
I'm trying with tweezers and a syringe.
maybe he's to badly injured.
RSPCA is just an answerphone.
Chocolate teapot there.
I left a message with the RSPB. They'll get back to me on Monday.
I've tried for ages, he's just got no appetite.
I can see that he's weakening.

He's just died.
No motor response, respiratory effort or blink reflex.

Re: SPAS 12 Accessories
Sad times!
Back on topic, the only issues I can see with bolting the rails to the gun will be getting them dead on aligned and seeing whether there is space beneath them to fit screws within the body without causing collision issues with internal parts. I'd recommend using some form of epoxy to bond the rails to the body as well - it will stop the screws ripping out.

That's what I said ...
but you said it better.
I've been thinking about araldite.
But to be honest I think I'd prefer to use both methods.
What's the best Metal to plastic glue out there?
Most folk would say nuts and bolts.

Re: SPAS 12 Accessories
Thought I' put a pic up of my custom SPAS 12 effort.
Considering a folding AK stock for it.
