My loadout - To go unit inspired or stay as is?
18 July, 2013, 17:13
Hey don't know where this should go as its not based on anything yet.
So iv built up my load out for the last few months just picking bits up I liked needed. I'm not much of a gear-do my knowledge of different rigs and what they are sucks. So I just followed pictures I liked thought was practical and let's face it what I could afford. But I am now at a bit of a wall and was looking to see if I can make my load out more unit inspired so was wondering if you guys could give me help on what too change or lookout for in doing this?
Few snaps
Quick rundown .
Protec helmet (Am looking to change like fast helmets or the 2001 Mich)
Ess
Warrior Plate carrier (all pouches are also warrior)
Command panel
2 closed top m4 pouch
4 open top m4 pouch
1 granade pouch
On the back
Hydro pouch
Rip off first aid pouch
M4 open top single
Radio pouch
Warrior Plb Battle belt.
2 pistol mag pouches
2 short open top m4 pouches
Horizontal utility pouch with Velcro front
Blackhalk serpa with molle attachments
Dump pouch.
Boots are currently tan mill SPEC but am looking to change them think I'm gonna go for some underarmour ones but not too sure yet .
Also wear Oakley gloves (tan) but weren't kicking about at the time
Weapons
G&p sentry
Kjw 226
I have only seen a few pictures of guys in tan rigs with multicam / mtp and I like the look. I know most of them are US. So would need multican instead of mtp. Don't know if US use WAS but when I got it it did say it was the US Style cut. Amd when looking for photos I never know if its genuine or Airsoft as not too clued up on what is used.
Think that's about it cheers in advance. Hope it makes sence and not too dull. Can take photos of my rig / belt if needed.

What i would personally do (as i like that setup) is i would get one of those weekend warrior lower face masks inplace of the shemagh. you kno the ones that attatch to the insides of the helmets.

Never got on with face masks so don't wear them. Carry a gum shield for hairy moments in cqb but that's about it
and in this weather I'd drop the shemagh anyway.

Is the sling an ms2? Never thought about threading it through the molle. Is it comfy like that?

Aye got to take the ringpull off to remove the bar then can fit it through be carefull not to lose the little spring. Just means i can change sides easy and it loads the weight better and i dont feel it on my neck.

I'm with Cojack, if you're comfortable enough wearing it, stick with it. As you say, maybe a change of helmet but that's it.

I like your setup dude, looks solid and nothing really looks out of place apart from the colouring on the helmet but its not a dealbreaker
Damn Brad, what else you got hidden in the humvee - a fat chick?

If you changed the MTP to something like DCU or Multicam it would look quite special forces!

That sling setup has the aroma of genius. I have that exact sling and with my heavy primary the weight of it round my neck all day is definitely bad ergonomics. I have just had a little experiment with my setup to see how it feels and its seriously comfortable, spreads the load around the shoulders really nicely.
OP: I hope you take imitation as flattery because I'll be doing this from now on.

Re: My loadout - To go unit inspired or stay as is?
Fantastically setup rig mate! I have run my sling through the shoulders of my chest-rig - it really makes a difference! (and it's also one less thing to take on/off in the safe zone).
That's pretty much how I'd run my rig if I had a plate carrier that didnt have built in mag pouches, the only difference is that I put the horizontal molle/velcro utility pouch where you put your command panel.
What dump pouch are you using? I use the WAS foldable one - when folded it's the size of an m4 mag pouch, which is ideal!

Re: My loadout - To go unit inspired or stay as is?
Yeah just means iv always got it you don't realise how handy slings are until you leave it at home
Got the roll up dump pouch mate it attaches to my belt to hold my trousers so takes up no molle room.
As for the command panel I like it. Just the fold out map panel is probably never gonna get used but getting a map made up of my local for that one time someone asks for where we need to go
but was going to get some Velcro to attach to it in the gaps between the rows of molle. Think WAS made one like this but have never seen it for.sale in the.uk.
