I love my condor plate carrier,it looks very tacticool but its too heavy and I always get too hot wearing it.
I always end up wearing a belt setup

Down to your own preference most of the time, what feels and works for you. I know some Milsim sites will require you to wear one or the other team/side dependent.

Re: adv/dis of webbing or platecarrier
fun but depends on what you like. fast and easy movement and light carry weight. or heavy set up restrictive settings and normally lower ammo capacity. then there is you time period of the webbing/rig you want to use some are lighter and easier and other are just horribly uncomfortable (or with old stuff just damn noisy and awkward) are you using normal hicaps mids or GBB mags as they c can get real heavy real fast.
then the all important budget! new rigs are expensive, clone rigs can be moderate in cost, second hand stuff can be naff or fake, old stuff is weirdly priced depending on how it looks, and ww2 stuff is expensive repo things.
so think who do you want to look like or do you just want to go with the militant/merc look in that case just grab whatever you like the look of
(in my experience if you’re getting hot under a rig take some serious thought in some good quality under armour wicking layer clothes the type used in summer motorbike and cycling shops really helped me keep cool and dryer it just pulls the sweat and heat of me into the next layer and out. Heck in oct and November I got so cool I was cold even in the rain I was dry. Under the flack vest I was nice and comfortably warm )
hoarder of ksc glocks currently 11+ parts and counting

Re: adv/dis of webbing or platecarrier
plate carrier pros
Lots of space for stuff
Easy to reach on the front of body
Comfortable (individual results will vary from brand to brand)
Great for urban / CQB / FISCH environments
Look "tacticool"
plate carrier cons
Too big in size can all but remove any dexterity
Too big in size can flop around / cause discomfort
Overloading the front can cause back ache
Get too hot and sweaty
Difficult to go prone / leopard crawl anywhere
With full face protection it can be difficult to see what you are doing on your body
All load is on shoulders only
webbing / belt kit pros
Load distributed along shoulders and hips (if worn correctly)
Light weight, low drag, speed of movement
Clear front, good for stalking / crawling
Plenty of room if a full belt kit is used
webbing / belt kit cons
All on your hips / small of back - not easy to access everything
Not very comfortable for sitting in seats (cars / briefings / safe zone)

Re: adv/dis of webbing or platecarrier
I use belt kit and a plate carrier - keeps me warm in winter and allows me to carry many many balls :D
In summer I drop to just the belt rig and load it up a bit heavier, makes it less uncomfy!

Re: adv/dis of webbing or platecarrier
ive recently moved from a wyvern all arms vest to a condor mcr 7 chest rig, which i think gives quite a good mid ground, the light weight and agility of a chestrig but with the easy donnning and more prone freindly layout of a vest with out sacraficing to much mag capacity.
