Copy and genuine multicam?
5 April, 2010, 14:59
Afternoon lads and lasses, I saw a deal on for multicam recently, but how can I tell if its the same as the actual camouflage?
Is there a difference in tones, pattern etc... Love to hear from you multicam users.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Copy and genuine multicam?
Want to drop me the image? Pretty good at spotting the fakes now!
Basically you looking for a pink(ish) tone, and a plasticy finish. There is some good copy available these days though. As a rule if it don't say genuine (with a proper make name) it won't be!

Alright, missed the time to edit. Curse slow editing process!
They're quite convincing, not entirely sure though.

Re: Copy and genuine multicam?
Top looks pretty good, not so sure about them trousers in terms of pattern. The material looks a lot better than some of the really shiney plasticy stuff you see some places.
Probably fake, but a good fake is a money saving buy

Cheers James.
I think I misunderstood the term 'genuine' - I think I was meant to say a good copy/replica, would you be able to tell the difference to proper multicam?

Re: Copy and genuine multicam?
Depends if what they send looks like the picture
Looks good from here!
It's not just the pattern, you want to avoid uncomfortable or badly made items. What price are they delivered? Plus maybe find some reviews

How much money were your set James? - this whole set is about £30 including postage, which I think is quite good value.

Re: Copy and genuine multicam?
I think "a few grand" might be an exaggeration there!
Genuine multicam can be picked up for not too much from Tru-Spec or OPS.
I've got the OPS shirt and trousers, with the built in pads. Total cost was £110, with some hunting on the forums. Seems expensive, but it lasts firstly. Secondly, once you have tried inbuild knee/arm pads you'll never go back :D No more raw knees and cuts! Pads where you need them, not round your ankles!
That set for £30 though, got to be worth a bash

Re: Copy and genuine multicam?
£30 seems a pretty good deal - good enough for airsoft me thinks.

Re: Copy and genuine multicam?
Your few grand for gen multicam wont be multicam mate.
Itll be Cryes issue stuff to the seals
http://www.wannabe.uk.com/nsw1.jpg
Costs an absolute fortune.
As for your MC mate, propper, truspec or ops (if you want the trews with built in knee pads) or if you can bite the bullet, gen 2s. They will be THE best investment you make.
I do not play at GZ please dont ask
