desert camo?
5 April, 2010, 16:43
Right - bear with me on this.
I was in a surplus shop the other day in Poole Dorset - they had some really cool desert camo - but I was in a rush and the guy was on the phone so I didn't ask what it was.
can anyone help?
it was a desert colour - similar pattern to the cadpat type stuff - but it wasn't digital.
certainly wasn't anything I recognised - but it was awesome!
my google -fu is weak on this one.
Cheers
Mac
edit - posted elsewhere on here
could have been this -

Re: desert camo?
What you've lined to appears to be Arid MARPAT...
No idea from the description - maybe arid Flecktarn?

marpat is digital. wasn't flecktarn. - I thought it was marpat until I realised it wasn't a digital pattern. very similar colours though.
As I said it wasn't one of the regular camo patterns other wise I would have know what it was.
I have no idea.

Re: desert camo?
Could have been arid CADPAT. That stuff is pretty rare.

Re: desert camo?
aridpats made by the Canadian army for the canadian army, If a set turned up in a dorset army surplus store I would amputate my left nut :p Most likely to be one of the eastern european desert flecktarn derivatives IMHO.

Re: desert camo?
There are a few I can think of that are pretty uncommon.
Polish
Danish
Italian
Was it any of the above (or similar)?

Re: desert camo?
No just looks it. Uses quite square shapes. But it isn't digital.

Re: desert camo?
If you like the desert Italian camo you should look at their woodland too. It's pretty nice and very effective.
