  • Mesh Goggles. Advice needed on respected brands.

So I have played airsoft for a very long time. However over all that time it has become apparent that there is one airsoft problem that nobody has a fix too, fog. It sucks and I decided that I want a mesh mask. I currently use revision bullet ant and I really like the style although as long as they are goggles and not masks I am open to change. I was wondering if there are any brands to look out for when buying mesh goggles or maybe if some people could suggest to me some safe brands to use. I just dont like the idea of a BB smashing and going through the goggles like has been reported on the internet.
    Thanks in advance guys,
    Rory

Heroshark's I believe are one of the best. Avoid anything cheap and Chinese and you shouldn't go far wrong

Regardless of the quality of mesh, it's more down to the quality of BBs people use, or bad luck, for BBs to break

Yeah I site only allows people to use ASG aproved BBs but some have slipped through the net. Only a couple of weeks ago someone was caught using gel core BBs imagine if one of those hit you on your mesh mask!

Also has anyone ever tried using tactical glasses under the mesh just to eliminate the chance of a BB smashing and having your eye out? Would they fog under the mesh? (The reason I cant just use glasses is because I am under 18 and my local site does not allow under 18's not to use at least goggles).

I used to wear bolle trackers (with the full seal removed) under a full face mask.

Play cqb and need full face as v close and lots of poking heard round corners.

The bolles did start to fog near the end of the day but I do run around like a idiot

If you are worried about safety with mesh, use Heroshark's Mako goggles with a blank prescription insert.

have you tried the revision wipes for your bullet ant goggles. I use them for my revision sawfly and they reduce fogging quite a bit

Bottom line bb's can break and go in your eye regardless of bb brand or mesh type. And that's me saying it, I pride myself on my honesty. It's happened to me many times. Only one time I can recall in 16 years play I got a little red mark on my eye off a breacher from 2m away, and of course I continued to play. I can make you a set of lenses for bullet ants and you could even get yourself some inserts with plain lenses as a secondary barrier if breaking bb's worry you.

roryrocker13 Got into airsoft young. Been playing for around 6 years (as of Jan 2016) first gun was a Well l96. Small tip: dont get a sniper as your first gun. It requires much more patients than you will have and you will find it very hard the first couple of times. Find out more about roryrocker13
