Re: shorts for airsoft? :S
Theres a dude who wears shorts to nearly every GZW game he goes to. Dont have a clue who he is though! Lunatic.
Bugs in summer, especially at GZ, are the problem. Theres loads of ant nests, and those buggers bite! Not to mention i've been heard to scream blue murder when finding ticks in my arm, legs, and, on one occasion... the end of little me. Not nice. So wear shorts if you want, but plenty of insect repellent, a first aid kit, and some vaseline for the ticks, and you'll be ok.

This is turning into a who's most manly thread.
So next time I go airsofting, I'm wearing nothing but a pair of boxers, eye protection and a belt rig. The rest of me is going to be camo painted. Everyone else needs to man up.
I can beat that all I am going to use next time then is some camo paint, safety specs and a BIG bag full of pyros :D

Haha, Atleast cover the essentials, if not for your own good then for the mental wellbeing of your fellow players
I'm not a fan of wearing shorts due to the nettles, brambles and gorse bushes. Atleast trousers offer a bit of protection.

Wouldn't reccomend it. Wood ants are a pain, any kind of bush and diving about would tear your legs to shreds.

Happy to Dave!
Have a look here:

They're a bit too guns and bikinis for me to take them very seriously as a group, but from what I hear you really don't want to playing on the opposite team from some of them, they play very well and VERY seriously.

I dunno, wouldn't mind take the sniper rifle to that game... you know, to 'assess the situation' from afar?

Re: shorts for airsoft? :S
dont see a big deal in wearing shorts to a game to be fair i mean if you find it to unbearable then you'll know for next time :p I wear a short sleeved shirt now its warm and cant imagine it being different having your legs exposed
and oh my god haha i think im going to have to wear a kilt to a game at some point as well, just to see the look on the other skirmishers faces. Im from scotland so kilts arent anything out of the ordinary, but i live in lincolnshire so i'd love to see there faces :p
