Brit load out? and L85?
18 June, 2010, 08:41
hey guys, basically i want to gather up a brit loadout (woodland). before anything im looking to get an L85, which brings me my first question. which company do you think is the best L85? my other question was basically what does a brit loud out consist of? ive been looking round but cant really find anything.
so if you wanna tell me what i need to make a brit loadout (woodland) and what L85 to get that would be great and much appreciated.
cheers, chris
-btw if you didnt notice by all the little annoying "(woodland)" things. the loadout needs to be woodland as that really the only terrain i play in.-

On reccomendations from others, I brought the ICS l85A2, Haven't used any of the other makes to compare it to, but am very impressed with it.

for the best l85 i would go with ICS. but if you are on a budget you may have to go for the AA one. But make sure if you do get the piston upgrade.

Are looking for an accurate replica L85 or a cheap-looking toy? ;-)
Seriously, you say you've searched but 'couldn't find anything' - clearly you haven't as there are dozens of threads on the SA80 here.

If you want a woodland ops vest rather than webbing:

If you've got a surplus army store near you, I got a few of my bits in there. Ex-issue combats and jackets for like £10 a piece. All proper gear as well. Definately worth a look.

Google army surplus and you can find a load of places. If you intend to use a bergen though, go with plce webbing as assault vest are uncomfortable and don't sit properly.

Re: Brit load out? and L85?
depending on the period you want to go with. You can buy lots of cheap soldier 2000 or Soldier 95 kit. PLCE webbing if you google british army equipment will show you the types they wear. Alternatively you can go old school pre 1990 and use 58 webbing dirt cheap on ebay.
