what do you base your gear on?

i'm just wondering, after a mate asked me the question in the title, if people based there gear on something like a army or a tv show.

i say i based my woodland gear on the british army but the british of 2020. i have not idea what i've based my urben gear on, it german desert gear but with britsh army markings.

I just base mine on what I think I need, rather than a specific loadout of somebody or something. Maybe because I'm lazy, lol.

same with me. if i need it then ill get it. its the same with any army. they dont carry anything that isnt necissary so you could say i base my kit out on every modern army there is. im not one of the guys who copys the marking and kit out of current or historic layouts as i find most of it to be expensive and unnecisary especially when my car holds anything that i dont need :-S i spose im lazy too lol

I base my loadout around my game, rather than other established loadouts. I use what I need, an what works best for me.

I base mines off of a mishmash of MGS rambo 'nam war films and general kickassery.

Which means its basically Tiger Stripe and light webbing/saav/rrv

mine is based off stargate for two of my loadouts and resident evil as one and then just a random tiger striped one for when im sniping

i base it on myself!
um
i have BA webbing which i have only one utility pouch and one double ammo as i dont need the others. works mint!
i have a viper chest rig on the way which is molle but i dont tend to base myloadouts on things. just roll with what i like?

As has been stated:

Low Profile,
High Flexibility (i.e. modifications, not bendy flexible),
High Mobility.

If I could get away with it, I'd wear BDU's and that would be it, but I can't, so next best thing is a belt rig and back-pack.
