As long as you dont have anything electronic, like a mosfet you'll be fine. AEG's can work underwater.

Yep there is also a way of running motor bushes in using a jug of water and submersing the motor in it!

A blank firing landmine could be dangerous, since the only place for the hot gas etc to escape, is right where someone is standing.

You can safely hold a BFG in your hand and let it go off with no injury other than your hearing going funny for a bit. Im pretty sure a blank mine would be even safer, youre not gonna get burned through your boots!
