Hi Does anyone know if this RIS Handguard fits on an mp5 a3?

Also if you're able to fit a mini battery in the handguard (as the a3 comes with a retractable stock)?

yes it will fit but im not sure about the battery

I've got one of these, they certainly fit on any A series MP5, so A3 is fine. There is no chance what so ever of getting a battery in the grip though. For an A3, if you want the RIS, I'd say go for a sling you can plug a battery into. That way you can get a massive life 9.6v battery running :D

or ive seen some pepole do custom stick battery mods inside the body.

Where inside the body?! lol

Gearbox touches the top, and back of the receiver. Motor in the handgrip and hopup infront of the GB, which touches the front. Maybe inside a folding stock model. But no chance in a A3 with RIS. Had enough trouble getting wires in, let alone a battery!

thanks for your input guys. i guess in that case i'll give this a miss. i was looking to get a battery inside the guard... but by the sounds of it, there is no chance!

there is a possibility that a nun chuck style bat. will fit.....but for you to put a Ris you will need to buy i think G&G or mosquito molds.....both are about £80-£100, i have both, well i have the cheap version that you mention as well and the two former ones are perfect for the job.....

i would go with jagilliam, get a sling so you can have one hench battery : P ; )

or get a dremmel and gut a full stock thats what i did :p
