Re: Help with team badges
I'm actually in the middle of getting some made, I tend to go to goldenfinishes - google them, the only thing to look out for is if you are going for the fully embroidered patches that smaller details and text will be lost - so make the design as simple as you can, It does not need to be boring just keep in mind the limitations of the medium (they do also do woven and printed patches in which this is not as much of a problem and tend to be cheaper).
You can draw up a desgn and send it to them, they tend to be quite good at telling you what the can and cannot do right from the off.
They DO have a set up fee of £10 but once that is on the system you dont have to pay that again if you order any extra after the initial order.
Hope this helps

Since this thread is already open I'm going to hijack it a bit...

Re: Help with team badges
i've just used
www.handmadebymachine.com
for batch.. really helpful, reasonably priced..
as most other people have said you can take the design as far as you want either go all out a photoshop it, get the colours right etc or sketch it out on a bit of paper and let the companies deisgn professionals help you out.. (most do this free of charge)
or, if like the above poster, you have someone handy with photchop handy to help.. all the better.
just for information's sake, i use illustrator not photoshop for badges.. vector images for manufacturers (scalable without distortion etc)
