  • USMC Marpat

Im looking to get a set of marpat BDU's and have seen a few websites that have them but ive noticed that there is a difference in some of the colours. Does anyone know which ones would be the closest to the real usmc stuff? The buelle nyco ones looked ok to me. anyone have a set?

    Re: USMC Marpat

ive got both a chinese make and the bulle ones the chinese looks still new after a few washes but the bulle ones fade giving the truer look in my opinion what ever you do if your aiming for a true usmc loadout dont get a top with velcro on the sleeves no marine has that in all the research ive done for my loadout

Issue ones are obviously the closest. You can easily pick up issue marpat at good prices if you check out auction sites and keep and eye on this forum.

The copies all look pretty rubbish next to the real deal from what I've seen

Is there a way of identifying the real deal issue stuff? what brand are they? would prefer if I could get them.

Usually Proper, they have an EGA stamp in the fabric.
            I'll get piccies of mine.
EDIT: And the cut is called MCCUU, not BDU.

I have a set of the Bulle woodland marpat and they faded really fast, not into a weathered look but they have a glow of white around them now :/

                  Makers are:
Propper International Inc., American Apparel Inc., E.A. Industries Inc., Columbia Sewing Co. (Camco Mfg.) or American Power Source, Inc.

Most of mine is Propper although I have some American Apparel too

Depends. I read somewhere it's becoming rare because it's not being sold for surplus anymore, it's being destroyed. Not sure how true that is. I think I paid about £25-£30 for the shirt and about £20 for trousers on eBay, although this was some years back and it was quite rare. Seems prices are still around the same. Saw some at the 2009 War & Peace show and it was £25 a set. Big piles of it where you just grabbed the shirt and trousers in the size you needed.

Well, you can always wait for W&P 2011

Failing that, airsoft forums and eBay are your best bet

Edit: Just looked at the eBay seller I got some of mine from. £40 + £6 P&P for the shirt, £45 + £5 P&P for the trousers. Ouch!

Technically not MARPAT, its digital woodland and digital desert. And at £45 per item I'd avoid it. I imported mine from the US for about £100 inc. customs for a set of dessie and woodland, I managed to get them in medium long as well which I had trouble finding over here.

If only that were more centralized, I'd travel 2 hours to go but 3 and a half is too far
