Anyone any idea what this particular lower face protection may be?

It looks like a painted up lower mask from a sansei mask. The masks themselves are only around a tenner in price, so it's an ideal base. Whoever did it should be commended on his good efforts!

Almost certain its a standard mesh or Heroshark with a multicam scrim/buff stretched over it.
You can see the wrinkles in the material in places.

It does aye, although the flattened section really does make it look like a sensei
