Cheers for clearing that up for me. Fair play I never knew there were spring (I presume they are spring) Box mag's. Although I have never really got into Milsim, knowing there are lowcap box mags makes me ever so more tempted to pick up a 249 and hit the milsim (Also sorry OP for sending the thread off topic)
I'm sure he means he uses the POUCH that is designed for the real boxmags that carry 200rounds. It would be called a 200rd box pouch because it's meant to carry the real thing. I've never ever heard of real cap airsoft boxmags... The only way you could replicate it is use a CA M249 with M4 midcaps..
Formerly 'Waltzinblack' but thought it was time to incorporate my Team callsign into my name

the cable does need sorting but the peq isnt finished yet as it will have a ir laser when i get the diode so its staying as is for now. the ranger grip is homemade it was inspired by one id seen on a yank 249 through work and it seems to work better than traditional placement

That would make sense, I am not too hot on the 249 so though somebody had brought out a lowcap boxmag without me knowing... Shame though I think a lowcap box mag would be good!

sorry yer it is a std 2.5k mag but we were working on a 200rd real cap. but some milsim sites limit you to carrying a single full box mag and no extra boxes / loose ammo so it would make the 249 useless.

Fair point, I didn't think about that, I'm sure if a few companies brought out spring boxmags that milsim will follow suit and start allowing them over the standard.

I think your ammo allowance should be related to your rof as airsofters rof`s differ way more from gun to gun then real life

Oh when will I get a decent knights stoner LMG aeg ?

That makes no sense at all, So what somebody with high rof gets to carry more? What if they spend the day on single shot, then they have a distinct advantage.

A real LMG has no single shot setting, also faster rof guns cycle faster so when you start pumping the trigger on single shot you`ll still get off more rounds, but I was talking about LMG`S,

Lul wut!? thats a little unfair. If you gun is pumping out plastic like no tomorrow all you have to do is a burst and a swish to the side and thats bb's all over the place. So no. You should not be given more ammo depending on hoe fast you gun shoots.
I think the main bits of kit have been covered really. I think ditching the box mag the A&K comes with might be a good idea?

A GPMG sling and somewhere to store bags of BBs/spare battery, that's all you need!
