but anyone know how i could set this up like his, with nothing on show. it looks like the shottys glued onto the handguard :/

i read somewhere that it was a custom build by the studio - essentially it is attached to the bottom hand guard

it wouldnt be exact copy but you can easily just get an m16 - then get the g&p m870 masterkey conversion which replaces the bottom handgaurd

Far as I can see, the easiest way to do this would be to use a plastic M500, such as a DE M56AL and screw down into it through the bottom fore grip. Either that, or hot weld it into place, but I'd go with a lot of small screws (for maximum support with minimum damage to the shottie).

G&P done a master key kit for the M870 shotgun so it could attach to an armalite. Good luck finding it though.

It's not a good photo, as I only had my phone to hand, but I just tried lining up my gas ACM M500 with my M4.

As far as I can see, I would need to take the ghost ring sight off and use those mounting holes to fix it to the lower grip. Being a full metal shottie on an M4, there isn't enough contact area for me to be confident of it supporting the weight, so I'd need to fit some kind of band around the barrel of the shottie and the silencer on the M4.

As you're planning on using an M16, there would be more contact area and (especially if you use a plastic shottie) there should be enough holes in the lower grip for plenty of screws.

I'm tempted myself now, for the weekender. MMMMM, gas shottie and M4!

yeah the screw ideas good.with an insert on the inside of the hand guard or something thanks for the input guys. i was thinking just a cheapo mossberg to stay true to the film and i wouldnt mind if i messed up first time round.
its just an idea im toying with a the moment. but the intimidation factor would be great

He's using the masterkey mount on his iirc.
I've had the same idea to do a "billy" masterkey. How I was thinking about doing it is making an M203 style mount to attach to the shotgun then cutting a strip out of the lower handguard and gluing the side pieces to the upper like this
