Re: Jungle boots or some other lightweight ones

For the last four months I've been wearing "Bates" Jungle Boots. I have finally found the boots I have been searching for since 1985. Comfy, lightweight, robust, brilliant footbed.
    Happy Hawke.
Any opinions expressed by me may not be mine. I don't have opinions anymore. I have a mortgage and teenagers. I used to be a wild, party animal. Now I buy my trousers at M & S.

Re: Jungle boots or some other lightweight ones

I would strongly recommend "terra" boots I bought my first pair on eBay and
They are very light but robust. They are full height boots with a ceramic toe cap (so no cold feet in winter)
Lots of support and wear in quickly but don't then wear out. I've had mine 2 years and wear my at work and for Airsoft.
The soles are easy clean and don't cake up with mud so makes cleaning them easy
Cheap too. Leather and breathable fabric but not fully waterproof( buy a pair of vortex boot liners and jobs a goodun
I love mine and last ten times as long as magnums...

My magnum elites do a good job of keeping my feet dry and they're not overly heavy.
