  • Clothing choice ??

Looking for my first set of clothing, something that will go well with olive drab tactical vest etc and also PLCE DPM webbing.

Was thinking muticam for the olive drab and standard dpm for the PLCE.

    What are your opinions???

    cheers

Yeah, stick with DPM for webbing. Anything els would look out of place.

DPM's cheap and easy to find. Stick with that (he says, hypocritically) until you know you're sticking around for a while and are enjoying it.

MARPAT is extremely effective (the one shown a couple of posts up. If you can get your hands on some, CADPAT is very nice. Tiger stripe is also nice, and fairly easy to get hold of. Multicam is nice, but quite expensive.

Oh dear, reading that post, I wasn't very descriptive was I?
Right, 2nd try: most of the time, your choice of camo comes down to personal preference. Though I dont like it, I must acknowledge that DPM works very well in British wooded areas. MARPAT is IMHO slightly more effective than DPM, and I actually trod on somebody wearing it one time . I love CADPAT, it is very similar to MARPAT, but it has lighter colours. Multicam works very well indeed in some areas (genuine) Multicam will work well in a fairly dark forest, but you have more chance of being spotted than somebody wearing MARPAT when prone (of course, this is all academic if you tend to saunter through the woods without a care for concealment. My style of play is quite sneaky, but at the same time I like being mobile, so I don't use a ghillie suit).
I have not had that much experience with tiger stripes, but it seems to work fairly well and is readily available if you know where to look . I hope this helped a little more than my previous post.
