  • Looking To Replicate This PMC Look - Kit List?!

    I quite like this look....

Any idea on how what is needed to replicate this on a budget? Ideally trousers with inbuilt knee pads though and the top/armour/trousers for not much more than £100...£150 tops.

    Thanks in advance :D

(Colour is a bit wishy washy. See here http://youtu.be/CmJhFIPKmcc @ 1:08)

Excellent - that gives me lots of options

      I'll rephrase.... lol

      I'm after...

      Decent tan/sand top
Some decent OD trousers with built in knee pads
      Replica body armour

Best I can buy within budget - so recommendations basically :D

cannot go wrong with 5.11 kit, its the choice of a lot of contractors and can be picked up cheap on certain auction sites!

+1 to that, I regularly use 5.11 kit (tactical combat trousers, baseball cap, chest rig) as i'm a fan of the contractor look too.

If you don't want to spank loads of cash, or the built in knee pad option is too expensive, then probably any trail/cargo pants will do eg Blacks or even TK Maxx. The top could be a PCU jacket, though it could be a soft shell.

Indeed, Craghoppers trousers have been used but as Snowdrop said, any trail/cargo pant will do if the knee pad option isn't essential. You could even pick up a pair of cheap cargos from Primark

As for the vest, well, anything really. Warrior kit is decent but if you're on a tight budget a cheaper vest/plate carrier would suffice

the trousers colour looks very similar to blackhawk's tactical lightweight trousers in OD. These can take built in new pads made from neoprene (both thin and thick ones).

Top and bottoms are both Blackhawk.
Can't link to the UK site here but they are the lightweight pants and the Pro shirt in long sleeve.

This thread has picked up today, lol!

I've picked up most the kit already now...

Changed my mind about the rig though.... now have this:

I'll have a full photo when the shades are back from being re-meshed!

From the characters I saw in afghan you need to be dirtier rather than the clean look you've got going (granted the stuff is new). Ok kit in general though.

                        Well ahead of you there!

                        Gun given the sand treatment...

The previous picture shows the radio/hyro pack tube sanded up. This one they are their shiny original.

Got to give the bowman a coat, and also finish my new face mask. Should be painted up in a "from the desert dirty" look too

Oh, also I'm getting rid of the silencer as PMC's would not be using them!

Much better. And yeah the silencer must go along with the long sleeves... lol

Long sleeves going to be an issue. Shed loads of nettles at my local site for large part of the year, and I'm one to be taking short cuts / approaching from unexpected angles!

Looks really good Jag mate, looks lightweight and comfortable.
Also the job on your M4 looks top notch.

Also, if you're looking for a long sleeve top why not a pullover fleece from a local surplus type store? Keeps you warm, can be cheap as chips and can still look the part.

                              Just a suggestion
