Re: chest rig or molle set up
How about both in one? :D
I have a Warrior W-RPC-7 Plate Carrier, and its a great rig. Mags are where you want them, and there's enough space for Molle pouches.

Re: chest rig or molle set up
Molle set ups can be quite pricey to make, especially if you want to fill all the spaces.
A chest rig, i.e the webtex rig is alot cheaper, but you're very limited in terms of customising it.
Modular chest rigs are modular, chest rigs aren't

Re: chest rig or molle set up
i like the brit webbing , with yoke and pouches around the waiste.
but
i recently purchased a warrior system molle set up and love it.
its all down to personal taste.
i tried 3 different ones before i got the one i was happy with,
good luck.
try a freinds on,as chopping and changeing webbing/vests,
can get expensive.so think before you rush in,

Re: chest rig or molle set up
If you're on a tight budget, go with a chest rig, if not, MOLLE or webbing. Might also be worth looking at what's about second hand. It's also worth working out what your requirements are. For stop start games, I use a chest rig as I can carry everything I need and a bit more but for games at GZ which don't stop I use webbing as I need to carry more as I try and spend all day in the field

Agree with all up top..
To make a good quality molle rig worth skirmishing its usually 60-100 pounds spendage, at least.

Re: chest rig or molle set up
I have PLCE webbing and a Viper Vest which are great in there own ways, the Vest is ideal for small games where not alot of kit is needed on the person and the games are short, the webbing is good for longer games and all day in the field.
I am now looking at a Warrior RICAS or a Tactical Tailor set up and i want a plate carrier and all the pouches needed for longer games :D:D
Ask about joining the UNIT
