Yankee PMC style squad setup!
8 April, 2012, 23:31
with my team, we had a "dynamic shooting day", last sunday. we took this opportunity for setting up some PMC style assets, inspired by the thousands of photos of Yankee PMC.
we had also a rates of the best "setup of the day", and here it is the first three best setup!
1° place:
kitlist:
- Baseball cap
- Underarmour t-shirt
- Shemagh tan/brown
- jeans
- Asolo boots
- Bijan knee pads
- Underarmour gloves
- Eagle Industries chest rig, ranger green.
- AK74 SU
2° place:
kitlist:
- Surefire baseball cap
- OD shemagh
- Tan t-shirt
- Camicia
- OD trousers
- USMC Bates boots
- Mechanix M-pact gloves (Tan)
- Casio G-shock
- Eagle Industries chest rig
- Ma4A1, Hi-capa .45
3° place (it's me!):
kitlist:
- 5.11 baseball cap
- Ferrino technical T-shirt + blue T-shirt
- HWI operator gloves (leather + nomex)
- Casio ProTrek
- Tan trousers
- Blackhawk! Industries knee pads
- British issued desert boots
- CVC issued body armour
- SO Tech Hellcat chest rig + medic pouch + SDS grenade pouch
- MP9 (gas blowback)
yes, I know, it was better if I wore a shemagh, but i forgot it at home....
a last photo: half-team during a "Dynamic entering", with wooden target on the inside! in the photo, we was ready for the "storm in".
ok, tell me your opinion now!

Was about to mention the lack of mag in the G36, looks good though, well done
I will be at the NAE 27th-30th August and replies to messages may be slow, bear with me!

I like it all apart from the jeans. I just think the jeans make it look too scruffy and unprofessional.

Re: Yankee PMC style squad setup!
Except that in the majority of areas where PMCs are presently employed, jeans aren't prevalent in the local culture... In all the pictures of Private Military Contractors I've ever seen on ops, they're very rarely, if ever, wearing jeans. Many contractors working for the same company appear to adhere to a dress code.
Jeans may be thick and hard wearing, but they're heavy when wet, they're scruffy, they're hot, and not as easy to move freely in, especially in comparison to chino's or "combat " style trousers, which also have the benefit of being much smarter in appearance.
Also, a big MOLLE vest is hardly low profile. A shoulder holster, or at most, a MOLLE belt, is low profile.
As a general airsoft loadout, it's fine, but as a specific impression of a contractor, I feel it's got a bit of a way to go.
