US immigration and customs
20 April, 2012, 18:13
i just bought x-ray's customs body armour, and it got me wondering.... i've looked around and i cant seem to find many pics of U.S. Customs officers.... I was gonna go with jeans and a hoody clothing wise, unless someone can tell me what they actually wear??
i was also thinking about what sort of headgear they might wear, and what sort of weapons they might carry. do they use the DEA variant 9mm m16? or standard m4's??
any info is appriciated
the vest for reference...

Re: US immigration and customs
just thinking some general purpose role, im told the vest is a raid vest, so i guess it would be some sort of door kicking role...
any info would be appriciated, i cant seem to even really find anything useful using google image searching lol

THis is the newer customs uniform, the one that bob86 is looking for is the uniform that was inplace around the late 90's, the uniform would have been the same as the rig, I think the it could be the customs authority that patrols the water not on land hence the blue...
X-ray
Edit now
THIS
is exactly the picture I was looking for, I believe the vest above was used in the coastguard services, normally on those boats there are a few police officers which explains the police badge on the rear of the vest and the customs badges are also related to police enforcement as specialist officers were trained in customs authority.
You may also find
THIS
useful too

That looks more like a ICE agent would wear, simple normal day to day clothes, if its modern day look, probably M4's and Glocks, if its 90's look most likely M16 or Colt Commando and berretta. And if you are true Hard core you can get yourself a real Badge made for a few hundred bucks, I made a custom one for my Swat uniform back in the days.

Re: US immigration and customs
im just looking for stuff that would look right tbh... i know ive seen that vest type setup on american tv before, and like the guy in the red chequed shirt, i seem to recall them being put on over normal gear
i guess i could run this as just a pistol loadout, its a shame as i was looking for an excuse to get a 9mm smg recievered m4 lol... but pistol wise, it'll either be my 5-7's or my m9's
looks like i just need a viper type duty belt and off i go, shame really, as i like to protect my face - ugly enough allready lol
and yeah, the badge is a possibility

Re: US immigration and customs
assuming customs is reffering to ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) they carry the SIG 229.
I doubt US coast guard would wear police tags. they are closer to the millitary than police.
but unless you are going for ultra-accuracy, any reasonably modern handgun, backed up with a shotgun, M4 (inc 9mm variants) or mp5 or UMP wouldn't look too out of place. oh, and apparently they also use the AUG.
