On a serious not I love the M65 jackets,superbly practical and even dare I say trendy but you wont see many pics of them in frontline action in Vietnam,maybe a few pics but not many.
M61 webbing,expensive and a USMC only thing so much better going for M56 as it covers pretty much all bases.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the original UNIT troops from Dr Who wore M65s. I'm talking Patrick Troughton/ Jon Pertwee days.
That'd open up British weapon options, though there aren't many from that era around.

I think they were all wearing Uk 60 pattern.
It was based on the US 1950s OD uniform to replace the old battledress.
