Re: private military contractor loadouts
are you going for the big firm PMC look, or the gun for hire look?
Gun for Hire:
-Cap[Tan/OD/Black]
-Aviators
-Shemagh[Tan/OD/Black]
-Plain Shirt/Smock[Complimentary to Chest Rig]
-Chest Rig[Tan/OD/Black]
-Plain Cargo Trousers[Tan/OD/Black]/Blue Jeans
-Dropleg Pistol Holster
-Black Work Boots
make the colors mismatched
Corporate PMC:
-Black Cap/Black Mitch Helmet
-Long mic Bluetooth Headset
-Black Polo Shirt
-Black Chest Rig with Black Pouches
-Black Riggers Belt w/ Black Pistol Mag Pouches
-Pistol Hip Holster
-Black Combat Trousers
-Black Knee-pads
-Black Combat Boots
if you can get a logo on a couple of patches, one on the cap, and a couple on your chest rig
Essential for Both:
-Baddass Facial Hair
-Feeling of Invincibility

Looking good....all you need really is both arms covered in tribal tattoos and three mobile phones on your rig.

i like your ideas... and i hope others will use them. but one thing i have trouble with is cost. right now i'm going to buy the g&g r8-l w/ scope from evike.com ($208) and a black chest rig, black cap, and maybe a helmet. this is the loadout i'm going for, in all it costs $270.0 (with a extra mag and 5000 bb's)
thats a pretty cheap loadout for a person just starting off..

OP for future reference, you can't mention retailers other than Zero One Airsoft on this forum. A mod will likely edit your post shortly.

Re: private military contractor loadouts
nice one, to be honest you really don't need any more than that, if you image search pmc half the photos are just people in civies with an m4 and a chest rig

Re: private military contractor loadouts
As far as I can remember, one great bet, is to avoid any and all camouflage patterns altogether, and stick with solid colours, such as black, different shades of tan, coyote brown, khaki, OD green/other shades of green, and so on.
I'm merely referring to the colour options that are quite good for PMC/contractor impressions/looks/loadouts.
If you need further reference, one great idea is to look at the MGS4-inspired PMC loadouts that were 'the in-thing' a while back, and still seem to be quite popular even now, try some Google searching as well
Speaking of which, I've still yet to get around to putting such a loadout together, just need a softshell jacket, and some more desert-esque coloured gear, plus some black items. Plus I have almost completed my MGS4 M4 Custom, which is almost complete, part-for-part!! And yes, I also have a TM MK.23 SOCOM, being the massive MGS fanboy I am!!

Re: private military contractor loadouts
Most PMCs will be in either a uniform (think Blackwater or Xe as they are now known) or trying to look like locals based on whichever area they are operating in.
My advice is stay away from wearing any Blackwater or Xe patches as there is a lot of animosity surrounding them given their patchy history with civilians and crossfire.

Re: private military contractor loadouts
It isn't that bad, just there are a few people who won't agree with it. My advice is get clued up on the history and understand why some people may not like it. It does make for an interesting talking point on site though.

Re: private military contractor loadouts
To the people who are read up on Blackwater, as well as the fascinating evolution of PMCs in modern armed conflicts, the name represents the darkest aspects of American ambition, privatization, and the lack of accountability in government. While I'm not going to assign reading for modern politics just to play airsoft, knowing more is always better than knowing less. As a Chinese person I'd have very strong words about anybody that showed up to an airsoft game dressed like a Japanese Imperial Army soldier, no matter how biased or irrational that position might be.
If you're curious about Blackwater and why they changed their name, I recommend reading up on the 2004 fallujah ambush and the 2007 Nissour Square massacre.
