Re: Marsoc
Interesting to see a dedicated MARSOC thread come into existence, especially - as has been already mentioned in the original post - MARSOC loadouts/impressions are becoming more common. Whilst my personal kit is now solely Army SF, I've been watching some of the MARSOC developments closely, and have a pretty good collection of reference pics for MARSOC (will try and post some if required once I'm back at my PC/HDD at the end of the week).
In terms of some of the things that have been covered so far though...
Woodland cammies - MARSOC went to Crye, from what I recall reading, and had a custom run of Crye Combat-cut woodland cammies made for them. In all likelihood, this probably wasn't until they'd already been running normal woodland cammies during a deployment in Afghanistan. The requirement was issued because MARSOC were taking over some of the Foreign Internal Defense (FID) duties from Army Special Forces, and therefore would be partnering with ANA forces who would be wearing woodland themselves. It was simply a case of not wanting to stand out from the ANA (same reason Army SF also run woodland at times). It has to be remembered that MARSOC is the baby of the wider 'official' Special Ops community within the US military, so alot of their early kit was simply what they had been using as Force Recon. Only in the last couple of years have they started to, judging by those pics that are available (both officially and unofficially), started to set up their own particular requirements - Crye LV-MBAVs apparently being one of them.
As to pistols, initially - as I've already mentioned - they would have used the standard Marine Corp 1911, however now it's not uncommon to see them using Glock 19s (as do Army SF). I need to dig back into the information to double check the situation regarding the 1911 however from what I can recall the newer 1911 is being issued Corp wide as a general replacement, so this may well be unsuitable for a more modern, up-to-date MARSOC kit.
As to primary weapons, these tend to be M4s in either the Mk18 guise or with 12.5" DD railed version. From my perspective, and I would need to go back through my reference pics just to double check, a 416 is not kosher for a MARSOC loadout/impression.

Re: Marsoc
Good info there atomic . Cheers
Had a few goodies come in the post today. TMC woodland ubac shirt. It's getting a bit hot for my soft shell seems alright quality and can't argue at what I paid for it. Also got a fanny pack only a cheap Chinese one as didn't think I would like it but think it's going to be one of the handyist bits of kit I have.
Will get some pictures of all my kit together. Will even try build my mk18 up for pictures sake

Re: Marsoc
Here are some bang up-to-date, albeit non-deployed, pics showing MARSOC. These show the new 1911s in use plus some of the kit that should probably be considered more 'standard issue'.
U.S. Marines with United States Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command conduct combat marksmanship training to prepare for Exercise Combined Resolve II at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, May 15, 2014. The exercise is a U.S. Army Europe-directed multinational exercise at the Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels Training Areas, including more than 4,000 participants from 13 allied and partner countries including special operations forces from the U.S., Bulgaria and Croatia interoperability training during the exercise to promote security and stability among NATO and European partner nations. Re: Marsoc
some cracking pics there, thanks for sharing them!
looks like even in these days of the Ops Core an oldschool Mich 2000 is still a viable option

Re: Marsoc
i've found a few pics of them rocking JPC's, CPC's and LBT6094's.
Such a shame that genuine Crye cut trousers go for around £600...

Re: Marsoc
Rigs in those pics I posted are - as guessed - Eagle Industries MBAVs in MJK (as used by Army SF and Army Rangers). The MBAV is being replaced, so not sure whether MARSOC will also phase them out or simply stick with them for the time being (all depends on how much is in the budget I suspect).
Crye woodland cammies go for ridiculous prices because they're relatively rare to get hold of, however I think that there may be a few copies knocking around by now that a set shouldn't break the bank. Failing that there is always tailors shops that do alterations - plenty of references pics out there to help. That said, those guys in the pics I posted aren't wearing Crye (at least as far as I can tell!).
