Usmc new vest!

Hey guys
Just to inform those who love doing the usmc loadout, I'm afraid to say that the Otv aka interceptor is no longer standard issue,
What is now being issued is the mk2 Spartan MTV
And it's a beauty, its ben isue for quite a while, but I've been afraid of fizzy's reaction! ( I joke )
Mainly as I havnt had much info or knowledge , as I thought it was personal purchase
Now bask in it's glory, to me it looks like a ricas or rav with all the interceptor gubbins

Isn't the MTV now a bit out of date? They're using the SPC (scalable plate carrier) now as well, and they've still got OTVs knocking about from photos of that last big op.

From what I have read they USMC boys hate the MTV, most of them went back to the QM and demanded their OTV's back.
And I have to say it is alot of fun running around in my Falklands SAS kit. But I do have a 2008/9 UKSF loadout I am finishing off with the L119A1 now so that will be my modern kit for time to time.
But anyone can trot around in over populated MOLLE rigs. It takes alot more style to make a smock and belt kit look good

Yeah, last thing I heard was this, although that was some time ago so things may have changed. I also heard that lower tier troops (ie. not front line) were still being issued the OTV although again, this may have changed more recently. So anyone want to but a Point Blank OTV?
