I am thinking of going the us sf route, what are the CORE items I need? And I don't want to go multi cam cos every one has it!

Oh right... I more meant is there a set helmet/plate carrier/rifle etc. I like yank gear and use an M4 so was thinking of what else I could get to match up with it. I think I'm putting together more of a non contemporary bodge look so perhaps not USSF lol.

Well each of the services Navy, Army, Air Force & the Marines have their own SF which all can & do use their own kit & equipment.
Perhaps some research to start with so you dont waste a load of cash on kit that you will eventually sell as you get the gear bug/flu?
I am sure we would all help you.

Well I've got some USMC kit. I have the full FILBE and use it for camping, I have the USMC EBNS sleep system also. I like Coyote colour because I am kinda getting bored of camo but also because I like Multicam and it works well with that. I have some other USMC kit like a stream light and have an PRC152 replica on order and I use a standard looking M4 so I thought I'd just use Coyote kit with Multicam clothes or tan clothes.

I think you probably need to decide to multicam or not (multicam ruling out USMC)
