80s/90s pouch question-silencer and BFG storage?
12 August, 2010, 11:01
Hey guys, question for the forum. What would be a period appropriate way of transporting my BFGs and suppressor? Late 80s, early 90s period.
Can't find ANYTHING online.
Thanks
Dave

Well, for starters, always leave it unprimed? Though I'm guessing you know that. Im sure its probably the same rules for transporting your ages, in a bag, out of sight, and for good reason?

I think he means transporting around the field.
G&G TR15 Raider XL, CA G36K, G&G MP5A4, Cyma Thompson, APS AKS-74U, Custom TM Uzi, DE M56, WE Nighthawk X2, Cyma Glock 18C
RD Customs MG42, The Bone Cannon And Project Balderdash.
If you aren't laughing, you're doing it wrong.

Yeah sorry I've been in this game a while ben I'm sorted on the getting to and fro
To clarify, I'm looking for Nam/Alice/other methods of carrying a real steel beretta suppressor and a couple of BFGs.
Would nam era triple grenade pouches work?

Sorry! My bad. I knew yup been here a while, I just though transporting you might have meant safe to and fro carrying from home to skirmish that was legal and safe. My bad!

bfg = alice smoke grenade pouch
supressor = depending on length you could get a magazine pouch from a alice holster or just pocket it in your bdu

I can't find alice smoke pouches
I was thinking of improvising and using a nam-style waterbottle pouch.
Might just stuff them in BDU pockets though. I'm not wearing armour so I've got easy access to a lot of pouches.

Will they not fit in the Grenade pouches on a LBV?
Or I have some M67 pouches that will take them (the shorter mag pouches).

They won't fit the LBV sadly, and I'm going for pre-LBV anyway
How much you want for the M67s? any pics?

i use this method and tuck the nade under the braces
2 spares i use viper nade pouches in OD around the back out of site (functional but look wrong i know)
then again i have been filling my butt pack with ball grenades of late
they never fall out due to the linning inside, i also carry a sweater in it to pad out and you can tuck nades in with ease

Not a bad plan, I don't want to have too much swinging about as I'll have bandoliers to carry...
