Not at all, the guy on the BC two cover has a made-up armour vest and an acog/peq 16 combo on his M4 with a big surefire.
BF3 has full US marine advisors and gear licenses on the American side so we should see some cool real-steel kit
That's what they said about Medal of Honor though!

IMO this is the wrong way round. The guy is right handed, by the way he is holding his m4. This means he will drop to a kneeling stance with his right knee on the ground and his left knee up. Therefore the knee pad on his right knee needs to be onhis knee, not down and vice versa. I only tend to wear one knee pad when I use them (though my Propper multicams have got a pocket for the internal pads) because they aren't always that comfy.

I love the watch holder pouch, for when you're too badass to use your wrist, like any normal squaddie!

And we had a very high level of kit detail and realism (if slightly anachronistic) in the character models in that game?

they spelt Shemagh wrong on the picture. But i'm happy they've called it a suppresor and not a silencer.

My bad, what I meant was, just because they had military advisors, doesn't always make it a good game as per MoH.

Ah yeah true, I did quite like MoH though so have hopes for this. The fact that EA Dice have ALL their teams working on one game should make it pretty special

Once upon a time, I'd have agreed with you.
I'm right handed and I have fucked knees from too much kneeling down with too much weight on so I alternate my knees depending on which one is the most sore.
Also, it's good to see that whoever made that doesn't
really
have a clue about what he's wearing. What the fuck is a "Shemaugh"?

1 spelling mistake and 2 incorrect items doesn't mean they have no clue. They've got most of it right.

Re: Battlefield 3 Cover Image - Loadout
Indeed not, but there's more than that, or rather than being incorrect - things which aren't specified, going down the list.
Helmet - K Pot?
HL1 - Can't tell which model it actually is, not necessarily HL1-A
'Shemaugh'
Communication System - It's an MBTIR, with a Patrol II Headset
CIRAS = RRV
Strobe - It's a VIP
Eotech 500 Series - Looks like a 552
Vertical Foregrip - Yes, it's a Surefire M900
His jacket's a PCU Level 5, his trousers appear to be PCU Level 5 too and the Holster's a Safariland
I realise I've just identified myself as a mega geek right there but if I can sit here and do that off the top of my head and not do a feature on it. You see my point Crotmate? Do it right or don't do it at all. :D
Edit - To be fair my comment of "doesn't have a clue" was a bit harsh and yes, I appreciate that there's stuff they got right, I'm trying to say that with a little extra time, they could have nailed everything in there and made it a proper definitive guide.
