USAF ground types?
1 May, 2011, 15:38
Hi all.
I..well Was meant to be doing Classic styled Army Ranger get up with m81 woodlands, LBV, and alice lc2 webbing.
I ordered a genuine used shirt and trousers and I got Gomez of the United States Air force..and he is some sort of Sgt i think by the looks of it.
So obviously thats not very rangerriffick!
Any specialised ground troops that the USAF had that used a m16a2?? ..that era of the m16a2 anyway.
Cheers

Re: USAF ground types?
PJ = Pararescue Jumper
I think CCT = Combat Controller and JTAC = Joint Terminal Attack Controller. Not sure though

Lol JTAC Is a joint tactical air controller, or forward air controller is the more familiar term but tbh mate they are just normal soldiers with a spec qual.
PJs use m4s, well the ones on Herrick did.
What about USMC ?

Re: USAF ground types?
USAF have a number of specialist ground troops.
Para Rescue Jumpers - PJ's the bad ass medics everyone knows about
EOD (Explosive Ordance Disposal) - just like the other EOD's in the US military
Security Forces - like the RAF Police & RAF Regt (kinda)
Special Operations Weather Tech - Combat Weatherman
CCT (Combat Control Team) - They deploy with SF units to help control aircraft in the AO.
If you google/wiki any of those above you should be able to base a loadout on them. Also just because your in Woodland cammies it doesnt mean it has to be dated to the 80's. Woodland BDU still gets used by some units.
