Re: USMC Load Out...
ok so this is my usmc eod impression, with a few touches of my own, its not the greatest but i think it works well. The shotgun looks like it would swing around while i'm running but it actually doesnt it stays in place and doesn't get in the way.
i took inspiration from many pictures but these are just two that i still got saved
Marines from 1st Platoon, Company I, Battalion Landing Team 3/8, Regimental Combat Team 8 cross a ditch near a patrol base in Helmand province, Afghanistan (taken from facebook)
A squad leader and two Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technicians from 2nd Platoon, Company I, Battalion Landing Team 3/8, Regimental Combat Team 8 examine the battlespace during a security patrol in the Green Zone of Helmand Province, Afghanistan. (Taken From Facebook)

Re: USMC Load Out...
Damn I love desert marpat so much.
I just ordered some of it and A-TACS gear.
Can you message me where you got your gear from? I need the over-sized bulky vest... well everything except the actual BDU. :P
Damn nice load-outs. Makes me want to go and put my gear on just to chill out in the garden.

Re: USMC Load Out...
It looks like he's got it on a single point bungee sling (seen more clearly in the first pic)

Re: USMC Load Out...
Fizzy i think you meant a two point sling going across my chest, its tight enough so it doesn't bounce around but its loose enough when i needed to get if off my shoulder in a hurry

Re: USMC Load Out...
Yeah, that's what I meant, was talking to someone about bungee slings and typed that by mistake...
Anyway, here's a p*** poor photo of my WIP FR kit
So far, it's;
Flyye MBSS
2x BHI M4 double mag pouches
Warrior PLB Belt
AITES IFAK
Eagle Kydex pistol mag pouches

Re: USMC Load Out...
Oh hello USMC thread....didnt see you there!
May i add some constructive criticism here guys? in general; Please if your going to do a Marine impression i think you should get the vest, weapon and helmet then work around that.
A Lot of you guys are just getting a the marpats and then any old CB vest, doing this really ruins the impression a lot.
Ive been collecting Marine Corp stuff for a very long time, im not going to say i know it all, but i know a fair share.
Some thing Fizzy has done right and alot of people over see is the IFAK...This is a core element to any USMC impression, be it grunts or FR or even MARSOC. Everyone is required to carry one.
My opinion on something is if your going to do something, do it right. Now im not saying go and spend $250 dollars on a pair of Danner RAT boots, because that would be ridiculous !!
PKR- I really like where your heading with your USMC-EOD loadout, but im sure you know to ditch the ACU trousers
also ditch the card on the helmet too..
Fizzy- Nice man, coming along Lush! although seeing as your running a belt kit, id lose the knife and put it central on the belt... will put my kit up when photobucket stops being an arse!

I will loose the knife altogether, no need for it in Airsofting, just put it there for the pic. I'm going to mount my SERPA for my Kimber there instead. Unfortunately I couldn't get good light for the pic, or go outside due to it hissing it down all day.
But yeah, I agree with Teufelhunden. I think getting the rig right is probably the biggest key element to making the loadout look something like. Just wearing MARPAT and any old rig is not a USMC loadout. Doesn't have to be a genuine rig though, there are plenty of cheaper alternatives. For example:
CIRAS - Flyye, Pantac, and various other cheap Chinese makes, as well as the Warrior RICAS
Eagle PC - Flyye, Warrior RICAS Compact
Eagle RRV - Again, Flyye & Pantac as well as Bulle and also the Warrior 901
SPC - Flyye, Pantac
MTV - Flyye, Pantac
OTV - Quite a few makes of these, Bulle and G&P for example

Re: USMC Load Out...
Fizzy you are already have a much better loadout than 80% that you see mainly for the fact you have the correct type of shirt ! Looks quite similar base to mine which is about 70% as of now
