  • L115A3 info needed

Upon seeing a L115A3 (L96) on display with the Army I'm trying to find out more about the camo sort of thing to it. It was biege/sand coloured but had these patches of what looked like blue paper stuck on it (guessing for a camo effect). If anyone knows any information on this could they please post in the comment box below.

Probably cloth (CBRN/Sniper/Recce/SAS) tape in green or tan. Its used to break up the texture. Then either paint or cam cream is applied to break up the unnatural linear effect of the weapon.

Did the effect look vaguely like this?

Sounds more like some sort of Digi cam template. its the rage for painting guns at the minute.

spray a base colour then cover with different size and shaped squares then spray over

It will be a L115a3, not the L96. (Two different guns).

The camouflage / patches you speak of is Sniper Tape. Also known as fabric tape.

You can find it on eBay quite easily.

In airsoft terms, diddly squat. Some people on here tend to get a bit funny about anything the British forces use, the slightest discrepancy is attacked with pure venom and layers of sarcasm.

Folding stock, rear monopod, fluted barrel and bigger round. Don't quote me on this, it's been a while since I've been near either of them.
