Suunto Core. Had mine for over a year, quite helpful for at night, press a button and you can see the time easy, not too bright, but enough so you can see and get some other cnut on stag. Also very durable and waterproof. Looks the shits too.

Buy an issue G10, between 50 and 100 quid depending on whether you want the self winding type, quartz or a date window.
Mine lasted me from getting in the army in the 90s until about three years ago and only died when i broke the face on a rock.

Got a Casio G-Shock. Easy to source various models at pretty decent prices. But a second vote for the Suunto Core, loads of lads I know use it.

This, I have one of these and use it for everything, waterproof and tough, plus if you do manage to break it they're about £7 from a certain online auction site.

G10 for men. Depending on the make you get should last forever. CWC are the good ones, although the 70s style fat boy ones look quite ally.

Traser H3 for me. Bought mine 6 years ago at McGregor Aussie SAS base in Perth W.A. and apart from the numbering around the outer ring being removed by deet it's had one battery change.

Re: Decent military watch
Actually have to agree, i bought one of these from a supermarket in portsmouth last minute before running a game at UCAP as i'd realised i'd forgotten my watch and didnt want to have to keep getting my phone out.
I dont tend to wear it that often anymore but as far as i know its still going after *years* of airsofting with it.

Id rather snip off a nut with garden shears than wear my Tag Heuer to skirmish with. You'd have to be insane.
